AITHON - Timber fire protection

At ambient temperature Aithon PV33 it is a perfectly transparent varnish, with a warm looking wax finish to exploit the timber natural beauty. In a fire it reacts generating a thick layer of carbon char able to withstand heat above 1800°F, and protect timber structures up to 60 minutes.

Aithon PV33 is the only varnish which grants:

• R30, R60 Fire resistance (EN 13381-7 Standard)
• Class B-s1-d0 (EN 13501-1)
• ETA 15/0424
• Class A (ASTM E84)

	From a thin, perfectly clear film a rigid carbon char is created, more than 3cm (1 3/16″) thick, with highly effective thermal insulation. Under the shield timber is absolutely unchanged.
